UNCERTAINTY: What are the most effective strategies to allow people to die on their own terms? (JLA PSP Priority 19)
Overall ranking 19
JLA question ID 0083/19
Explanatory note

Some older people want to die in their own homes. Despite this wish, many will die in hospitals, or not receive palliative care or medical assistance in dying. People want research to investigate ways in which older adults can more easily be enabled to die as they wish

Original uncertainty examples Dying under my specifications ~ Hopefully, I will have the option of euthenasia ~ My concern is that the medical profession will assist me to end my life if I so request. If I begin to get signs of Alzheimer's or other dementia and am of sound mind so that I can make this decision I'd like to have medical assistance in carrying it through.
