UNCERTAINTY: How can we improve the communication between the medical team and patients/carers regarding the risks and benefits of heart surgery? (JLA PSP Priority 11)

Explanatory note Communication between caregivers and patients has been rarely investigated in cardiac surgery. Our search identified a recent systematic review comparing telemedicine and usual communication, which contained a subgroup analysis of trials (only 2) conducted in cardiac surgery. More research is needed.
