I specialized in Pediatrics and obtained a PhD in Developmental Age with a focus on Pediatric Infectious Diseases at the University of Florence. I also obtained a Diploma in Tropical Medicine at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. I now practice as a pediatrician at the Infectious Diseases Dipartment of the Meyer Children's Hospital in Florence and I am the contact person for the International Health Pediatric Clinic. In the past years I participated in a mission at the pediatric hospital of Asmara (Eritrea) and I have been to Lampedusa to help with migrants landings. I am part of the Meyer Task Force “children in the world” with which I participated in a mission in Poland providing support to Ukranian children and with which I currently take part in helping with the arrival of migrants in the Tuscan coasts. I am enthusiastic about this European project which puts migrants at the center and that allow us to combine the knowledge and experiences of different countries.
